10. In-meeting chat

Within a Zoom meeting, you can send both private and group messages to meeting participants.

You can use the in-meeting chat to:

  • Pose open-ended questions to all participants, comment on responses and select a couple of responses to highlight during the meeting.
  • Ask participants to share questions and include a few Q&A slides in the presentation to prompt you to stop and check the chat.
  • Ask participants to share questions and have a co-host respond to questions throughout the meeting.

Tasks to complete

The following tasks will require another participant in your meeting. 

  1. Practice sending a private message to another participant using the in-meeting chat. 
  2. Practice sending a group message using the in-meeting chat.
