Desktop Recording (Echo360) Online Workshop
1. Introduction
This self-paced, online workshop has been designed to provide you with a structured programme to develop your knowledge, skills, and confidence in using desktop recording with Echo360.
Topics should be completed in sequence as the course has been designed to build on knowledge and skills gained in the previous topics.
The Desktop Recording course will provide:
- an overview of how to complete various types of recordings
- how to edit your recordings and
- and how to upload them to your Learn.UQ (Blackboard) course site
The process
- Before starting the course, submit the Request Form to order a Desktop Recording course.
- Watch the videos and complete the tasks in your Staging course.
- Upon completion, send an email to elearningadvisers@uq.edu.au. We will assess your work, provide you with additional assistance if required and record course completion through Staff Development.
Required resources
- Time: Schedule approximately 2 hours to complete this online course, however, if you are familiar with Learn.UQ, then you may complete it in less time. You can also complete the workshop over an extended period of time and resume where you last stopped.
- Technological resources: A computer preferably with 2 screens, earphones for listening to the videos, an external microphone (if possible) as the sound recording quality from an internal laptop might not be the best, and a webcam.
- Online resources: A collection of images and documents are required for some activities. These will be available to download on the required pages.
