Create and Edit Individual Assignments (Ultra)

The below are the recommended Assignment settings for a range of different assignment types.

Individual assignment settings

The below are the recommended settings for an Individual Assignment.

Details and Information

Due date	Yes	Enter the date using the Date Selection Calendar and enter the time using the Time Selection Menu or enter directly in 24 hour time. All assessment items must be due during a scheduled class or at a pre-advised time between 1pm to 5pm, Monday to Friday. For further information, refer to the Assessment Procedure.
No due date	Unchecked
Prohibit late submissions	Unchecked	This will stop students from submitting late submissions as well as automatically submitting In-progress attempts at the due date and time.
Prohibit new attempts after due date	Unchecked	Students can't start new attempts once the due date and time has passed, stopping late submissions
Allow class conversations	As required	Conversations can be used to allow students to ask questions related directly to this task. This is an alternative to questions via email or Discussion boards

Formative Tools

Marking & Submissions

Mark category	Assignment	This is left as the default category but can be changed to a different category if required
Attempts allowed	Unlimited	Students can submit as many times as required.
Mark attempts	Last attempt	Will default to their last submitted attempt for marking
Mark using	Points	This is left as the default but can be changed if required
Maximum points	100	This is left as the default but can be changed if required
Hide student names	As required	Can be used if anonymous marking is required
Two markers per student	As required	Can be used if multiple marking is required
Peer review	Unchecked
Delegated Marking	As required	Used to assign markers to specific groups of students
Post assessment marks automatically	Unchecked	This will stop marks and feedback from being posted to students automatically
