Improve PDF accessibility in Learn.UQ courses

The following accessibility issues are often identified with PDF files uploaded to Learn.UQ courses, most of which can be addressed within the course itself using course accessibility tools (Blackboard Ally):

  1. The PDF is untagged
  2. The PDF does not have a title
  3. The PDF does not have a language set
  1. The PDF contains text with insufficient contrast
  2. The PDF contains images without a description

4. The PDF contains text with insufficient contrast

Colour contrast is the difference in brightness between the text colour and its background. Sufficient contrast is necessary to ensure legibility of the text.

Unfortunately, the only way to fix this issue is if you have the original, editable version of this file. If so, you would need to change the text identified as insufficient contrast to a colour with sufficient contrast, save and then reupload the file.
