New Turnitin Similarity Report features
Turnitin now flags documents for review where submissions may be using special characters or hidden text to minimise similarity scores, and highlights sections for suggested further investigation.
Course Insights - how engaged are your students?
Course Insights is UQ's own course-level learning analytics dashboard available to all Course Coordinators via Learn.UQ. The Engagement section provides staff with information about student engagement in Learn.UQ and edX (Edge). The tool identifies disengaged students to contact prior to census date. Instructions are also available to filter data in Course Insights
Which assessment tool? - updated resources
A range of centrally supported assessment tools are available to facilitate the efficient and reliable submission and marking of assignments. Complete the Assessment Tool Questionnaire to determine which assessment tool best suits your needs.

Course site design tips - assessment
The Teaching and Learning Committee endorsed course design guidelines recommend that all individual assessments have their own folder in the Assessment area of the course site. The first item in the folder should be the submission link followeded by the relevant student instructions.

Turnitin - Roster Sync for late enrolments
Turnitin assignments only contain students who were enrolled in a course when the assignment was created. To allow students to submit assignments where they have enrolled in the course after you have created the assignment, you will need to update the class list using the Roster Sync function.
Grades security tip: secure your computer
Secure student grades by manually locking your UQ computer when you leave your desk or office.
Information Essentials - Digital Essentials module
The Information essentials module (part of Digital Essentials) introduces students to different types of information and strategies for evaluating information. The module is designed to be embedded into courses so students can find the information they need, when they need it.
