Heading

In the Title textbox, include the question or topic for students to discuss.

In the Description textbox, explain how you want students to contribute to the padlet.

Posts

For Author and timestamp, we recommend selecting Show if you would like students' names to appear on their posts (providing they log into their Office365 account prior to contributing to the Padlet). This also helps keep students accountable for the content they post.

Note: Author names will only appear if students login via their Office365 account prior to accessing the padlet. You can require students to login prior to contributing by choosing the Org only privacy setting for your padlet. For more information, refer to the Set Privacy and Share a Padlet guide.

Content settings

For Moderation, we recommend selecting Auto (automatic moderation powered by AI) which will flag any posts or comments detected as inappropriate by Padlet's Safety Net AI moderation system and will require your approval prior to being posted.

Advanced

All padlet default URLs follow the same format [padletuq.padlet.org]/[username]/[title]-[unique ID], however you are also able to create a custom URL for your padlet (e.g. padletuq.padlet.org/elearninguq/ELSS1234) which redirects students to your default padlet URL.

Tip: Use your course code as the Padlet address and reuse the same Padlet each week after exporting/clearing the content. For more information, refer to the Export and Reuse a Padlet guide.
