General channel in course team (Original)

It is recommended that the General channel in course team should be used for teaching staff to post announcements and this channel should be read-only for students. You need to change the setting of this channel to prevent students' postings.

Notes: If you use Learn.UQ Announcements for course announcements and reminders, any duplicate post in Teams should be indicated per se; for example, Post title [re-post from Blackboard].

  1. Click on the more options (...) next to the General channel.
  2. Select the Manage channel option.
  3. Under the Settings tab, select the Only owners can post messages option.
