An Ultra course site tour in your first lecture should walk students through the course structure and focus on resources/tools that will be used in your course. You should demonstrate the sections detailed in this guide using the Student Preview tool. 

Note: EchoVideos do not work with the Student Preview tool and will display an error message.

An Ultra course site tour should cover the following elements:

  1. Navigation Bar
  2. Content: Tool links
  3. Content: Assessment and Course Resources
  1. Content: Learning modules
  2. Content: Course Staff and Details & Actions

4. Content: Learning modules

Learning modules (previously folders in Learning Resources) contain learning resources for the relevant week / module / topic. Encourage students to make the most of the new functionality which includes:

  • progress tracking: where students can mark items as complete to keep track of their own progress
  • progress bar: which shows how many items have been started and completed
  • page-by-page navigation: where students can use the 'Next' and 'Previous' arrows to move between pages of content
