6. Access and navigate candidate's attempt

Overview

Once students have completed the exam, you may proceed to marking the students' attempts. Note that automatically marked questions such as Multiple Choice and Drag and drop do not need to be marked but may be manually amended. The following section details where to locate student results, navigate between students, navigating and marking between questions.

Tasks to complete

Access Grade

  1. Enter the following link into your address bar in your initial browser to gain access as a graderhttps://uqstafftrainingone.inspera.com/admin.
  2. Click on the Log in with UQ Authenticate button.
  3. If required, enter your UQ username and password.
  4. Click on Grade.
  5. Click on your exam titled <Your Name> ABCD1234 S2 End of Semester Exam. e.g. Stirling Archer ABCD1234 S2 End of Semester Exam.
  6. In the Grader section, click on Overview.
  7. Note the Similarity column as it displays the Turnitin Similarity scores.
  8. Click on the column headings to sort by ascending or descending order.
  9. Click on the up-arrow next to Planner.

Note: The Planner section is an area primarily for the course coordinator and is not required for markers.

Navigate by student

  1. In the Grader section, click on Marking.
  2. Select Rick from the student drop-down menu located in the footer of the page.
  3. Click on the Next Candidate arrow and Previous Candidate arrow to navigate to other students.
  4. Note the All Candidates drop-down menu:
    1. Incomplete marking: Filter by submissions that still need to be marked.
    2. Flagged: Filter by submissions flagged for review.

Navigate by question

    1. Click on the Question number drop-down menu in the footer of the page and select a question.
    2. Click the Next Question arrow and Previous Question arrow.
    3. Note the All Questions drop-down menu: 
      1. Manually marked: Provides list of manually marked questions.
      2. Automatic marks: Commonly used automatically marked questions.
      3. Answered questions: Questions that students have answered.
    4. Select Manually marked from the question type drop-down menu

    Note: The option, All questions, should be in the question type drop-down menu initially.

    View question information

    1. Select 7 from the question number drop-down menu.
    2. Click on the Question tab in the marking panel.
    3. Click on the Similarity tab.

    Shortcuts to navigate Inspera from Grading

    1. Click on the Option button
    2. Note the Question Set, Deliver, Monitor and Event log options.
