From April 2022 the automatic machine-generated transcripts created by Echo360 are automatically added to the lecture recording as closed captions. Staff will need to manually add the transcript to closed captions for any recording added to the system prior to April 2022. It is recommended that closed captions are added to all recordings.

Add closed captions to an Echo360 recording

  1. From the Course Menu, select Learning Resources.
  2. Click on the Lecture_Recordings link to launch Echo360.

  1. Locate the desired recording. 
  2. Click on the green media button.

  1. Select Edit Transcript from the drop-down list.

  1. Click on the Apply To CC button.

  1. Click the Apply button to confirm the display of captioning.
