Overview

eLearning Systems and Support (the eLearning team) provides a range of technical training and resources to help you with the use of University's eLearning systems. This includes central workshops run through Staff Development, school based custom workshops, individual support for course coordinators, self-help text based guides and self-help video resources.

The Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) provides pedagogical support for eLearning to the academic and instructor community at UQ.

The Library AskUS service provide support and training in using eLearning tools to students.

eLearning Central Workshops

A range of practical face-to-face workshops on using eLearning tools is offered throughout the year. A description of each workshop, dates and registration is available on the Staff Development website.

eLearning Custom Workshops

Custom workshops on centrally support eLearning tools are available on request for faculties / schools / courses. Email elearningtraining@uq.edu.au with the subject line custom training to organise a workshop.

eLearning Solutions Service

The eLearning Solutions Service individual support to course coordinators to help them implement eLearning solutions for the most common teaching and learning problems, using centrally supported eLearning tools. Email help@learn.uq.edu.au with the subject line ELSS - nomination to organise an appointment.

Change Management Presentations

The eLearning team jointly deliver with ITaLI staff presentations on eLearning tool updates, projects and teaching and learning initiatives. Presentations are usually delivered to school Teaching and Learning committees in Semester 1 and whole school meetings in Semester 2. Email elearningtraining@uq.edu.au with the subject line eLearning presentation request a presentation on an central eLearning tool or initiative.

eLearning Newsletter

An eLearning update is produce fortnightly and distributed via email to all staff enrolled in a Blackboard course. The newsletter includes articles on eLearning, tips for the start and end of semester, promotion of new tools, tool functionality and using technology to improve teaching and learning. Non teaching staff who would like to subscribe to the newsletter should email help@learn.uq.edu.au with the subject line eLearning update subscription.
