AI assessment insights by Associate Professor Jason Lodge
Associate Professor Jason Lodge presented a summary of his recent work on assessment in the age of artificial intelligence at the October What’s Working? webinar. Learn about models and approaches for thinking about assessment and Jason’s work leading the development of the TEQSA 'Assessment reform for the age of artificial intelligence' initiative.

New External Users tool
A new External Users Tool is going live this coming Wednesday 25 October. The new tool replaces existing functionality for creating accounts for non-UQ users, such as guest lecturers. Once enabled, the new tool can be found in the same location within the navigation menu of all courses, at which point you will be redirected to an ExtraMural form to proceed with the request.
Accessibility and study hacks - Digital Essentials module
The Accessibility and study hacks module (within the Digital Essentials series) introduces students to creating accessible content and productivity tools for study and life. The module is embedded into courses to make it more accessible for students.
UQ ePortfolio system - Semester 2, 2024
Looking to scaffold progressive reflections course- or program-wide? Interested in staged or interlinked assessment tasks to engage students in using feedback to apply to a later task? UQ’s ePortfolio system enables students to submit videos, images or documents to external or internal assessors and obtain feedback on specific marking criteria.
Six tips for assessment finalisation
Review our top six tips for the end of semester to ensure your end-of-semester assessment processing goes smoothly.
Review your grade history
As we have reached the end of the semester, use the View Grade History tool to produce a report showing all changes and comments made to marks during the semester. This will allow staff to confirm the validity and check for errors.
Group Peer Assessment tool decommission
UQ’s Group Peer Assessment tool will be decommissioned 1 December 2023. The tool has been replaced by Buddycheck, a tool for collecting students’ responses on the contribution of individual group members in a group project.
Evaluations new team name: Student Surveys and Evaluations Team (SSET)
The Evaluations Team is changing their name to Student Surveys and Evaluations Team (SSET). Updates to webpages, email signatures, WorkDay and other channels will occur over the next month.
