Staff workshops and resources
Virtual Classroom (Zoom) workshop
The one-hour virtual classroom workshop covers how to use Zoom to facilitate tutorials, seminars and lectures. Participants will learn how to share their screen, PowerPoint and webcam, as well as how to use the in-meeting chat, reactions, polling and breakout rooms to communicate with students. Recording sessions and scheduling a meeting through Learn.UQ will also be covered.
- Register for a face-to-face workshop (10 available) OR
- Complete the self-paced online workshop OR
- Organise a school-based custom workshop
Individual Zoom tutorials
Staff can book a one-on-one consultation at their office with an ITaLI staff member.
Using Zoom in teaching spaces
The audio-visual configuration of most UQ classrooms means Zoom is ideally run from a device, rather than the lectern computer, unless the room has dedicated video conferencing equipment. Please refer to the Using Zoom in UQ Classrooms guide.
Zoom guides
The Virtual Classroom using Zoom guides provide instructions on using Zoom to facilitate tutorials, seminars and lectures.
Adding backup teaching staff to courses
If you need to add backup teaching staff to Learn.UQ courses, refer to the Enrol teaching and administration staff guide.
