eLearning Systems and Support
The eLearning Systems and Support team is responsible for running UQ's central eLearning services and for providing technical training and support.

eLearning Solutions Service - ELSS
The eLearning Solutions Service offers one-on-one consultations on the integration of eLearning into courses. At the start of each semester, staff can nominate to use this service to help implement a centrally supported eLearning tool. Support will be provided for the duration of the semester. To make a nomination please follow the steps on the eLearning Solutions Service website.
As part of the eLearning Solutions Service, you can:
- receive one-on-one consultations tailoring eLearning solutions for your course;
- receive ideas on how to deliver your course more effectively with technology;
- save time, improve student engagement and give better feedback to your students;
Email help@learn.uq.edu.au with "ELSS - nomination" in the subject line. An eLearning advisor will make contact with you to arrange an initial consultation. All advisers have teaching qualifications.
ITaLI
The Institute for Teaching and Learning Innovation (ITaLI) provides leadership, engagement and advocacy in educational innovation, teaching excellence and learning analytics.

ITaLI TeachAssist
TeachAssist is provided by ITaLI for the UQ community to offer support for their teaching and learning. If you are considering changing your curriculum, its delivery or assessment, evaluating your teaching or perhaps even educational research then get in contact through the ITaLI TeachAssist website. Assistance is available on a range of pedagogical, teaching professional development, evaluations, learning analytics and online learning development activities.
Learning Educational Design and Support
eLearning Educational Designers are based in schools and faculties. While their focus areas of support vary, they can generally assist you with:
- Developing online resources to support your face-to-face teaching,
- Transforming course content into active learning experiences,
- Bringing together instructional strategies, tools and technology for best performance,
- Advice on efficient and sustainable approaches to online learning,
- Best practice design balancing aesthetic quality, usability and technical requirements.

Library Services: Support for Staff
The Library offers a number of services that can make your life easier and improve the student experience by working with you to support your students. If you would like more details about the services available, visit the Library website or contact your Liaison Librarian.
Library Services: Support for Students
Library Services provides an Information Technology Helpdesk for students. They also offer face-to-face help, provide online Learn.UQ student guides and run workshops for students.
Staff working on student accounts
Current students who are teaching/tutoring in your course must be enrolled using their staff username. Tutors enrolled in your course using a student account will receive three notifications and after 28 days their access to the course will be disabled.
Learn.UQ upgrade date 2017
The outage window for the 2017 Learn.UQ (Blackboard) upgrade has been approved by the DVC(A) for Monday and Tuesday 10 and 11 July. This will occur in a university vacation week - the week before Semester 2 orientation begins. This upgrade requires a 48 hour outage. For further information please contact Elizabeth Wardrope.

Self Enrol - Group Sets
The Groups tool can be used to facilitate the organisation of students into project / assessment groups.
The Self Enrol – Group sets allow the instructor to create a signup sheet for the students to allocate themselves to a group.Watch Video (6:09)
