Course Reading Lists

For your Course Reading Lists to be processed in time for Semester 1, please submit them by Monday 19 December using one of the two options below:
1. Publish your ECP 
OR
2. Email your course reading list to: learningresources@library.uq.edu.au

Order your Semester 1 course

You can request your Learn.UQ course for Semester 1 2017 now!

1. Use the online Site Request form located on the Staff tab in Learn.UQ. This form also allows you to request a copy of course content from a previous semester.

OR

2. Publish your Electronic Course Profile (ECP) for a blank course template to be created automatically within 48 hours. For content to be copied, request a 'copy' through the Staff tab mentioned above.

4000 eLearning workshop attendances

UQ staff recently passed the 4000 eLearning workshop attendances milestone, since the service began in 2012.
There are still a range of workshops available in December to help you get organised before you go on holidays. The 2017 workshops will be published on the 1st January. For a description of each workshop, dates and to register visit the Staff Development / Teaching and Learning Technologies website.

Video Assignment Recommendations

Video assignments are growing in popularity as an assessment task. If you would like personal support for implementing a video assignment in your course please contact the eLearning Solutions Service or alternatively make use of the Video assignment recommendations guide.

Custom workshops for teaching staff, tutors and professional staff

Custom workshops on centrally supported eLearning tools are available on request for faculties, schools and/or courses. Laptops are provided for the sessions and course coordinators only need to book a meeting room. Contact elearningtraining@uq.edu.au with details of the preferred date, time, room booking and approximate numbers.

Try an Active Learning tool next year

There are still workshop places left for the UQ Active Learning Tools workshop next Monday 12 December. Come along to learn about engaging your students with UQ student response systems: UQpoll, UQwordcloud, UQwordstream and the virtual wall tool, Padlet. Practical skills covered will include setting up the software and viewing student responses.

Assessment tools

There are still workshop places left for the Turnitin and Learn.UQ: Quizzes, Tests and Exams workshops this week and next week. If you're interested in learning about using Turnitin for your assignments, then come to the Turnitin workshop this Friday 9 December. You will learn about the process for creating a TurnItIn assignment, the student assignment submission process and setting up rubrics.
If you are interested in learning about setting up quizzes or tests in your Learn.UQ course then come to the Learn.UQ: Quizzes, Tests and Exams workshop next Wednesday 14 December.

Get familiar with your Learn.UQ course site

There are still workshop places left for the Learn.UQ Basics workshop this Thursday 8 December. Come along to learn about UQ's eLearning systems including how to add course materials, upload videos, manage course files, add announcements, manage users and use discussion boards.

ITaLI TeachAssist

TeachAssist is provided by ITaLI for the UQ community to offer support for their teaching and learning. If you are considering changing your curriculum, its delivery or assessment, evaluating your teaching or perhaps even educational research then get in contact through the ITaLI TeachAssist website. Assistance is available on a range of pedagogical, teaching professional development, evaluations, learning analytics and online learning development activities.
