Submit a video assignment with EchoVideo (Ultra Student)
Important: DO NOT delete an EchoVideo file that you have submitted as part of an assignment. This will make the file unavailable for marking by your instructor.
EchoVideo is the University’s video hosting platform. It is used by staff and students to store video and audio files for use in Ultra courses. The same system is also used to record and publish lecture recordings.
Important: Videos cannot be uploaded directly to an Ultra assignment. All video submissions must first be uploaded to EchoVideo and embeded in order to complete the submission.

3. Upload your video
Note: Only complete this step if your video has not already been uploaded to your EchoVideo Library.
- Click on the Upload Media link.
- Click on Select Files to Upload (or use one of the other options).
- Navigate to and select the required video file.
- Click on the Upload button.
Tip: For further information about how long files can take to upload, refer to the Upload speeds guide.
Note: After you click on the Upload button, there is usually a delay while Echo360 processes in the background, and the video length shows 0:00. Please wait until the thumbnail and the length of the video appear; then you will be able to progress to submit.
- Click on the Close button.
