If you experience a technical problem while using any of the eLearning systems at UQ, please record the following details and contact AskUs:

  1. State the problem you are facing. (eg. cannot submit a Blackboard assignment).
  2. Give details of the task you were performing:
    • State what you were doing (e.g. taking an online quiz).
    • Provide a step-by-step description of the process you followed that resulted in the problem (give as many details as you can).
    • Were you given any specific instructions to follow? Add instructions/links to instructions if available.
  3. If possible, take a screenshot of the error message. Please include a full screenshot of the window/screen, not just a cut-out of the error.
  4. If the error message includes a "Session Debug Log Code" link, please click on this link and record the log code.
  5. Provide details of the system you were using:
    • Operating system  (e.g. Windows, Mac, Linux, Chrome, iOS, Android)
    • Internet browser (e.g. Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.)
    • Device ownership (i.e. a personal device or an organisation-owned/UQ device)
  6. Include:
    • course code (e.g. ABCD1001)
    • location of the content/tool you were accessing (e.g. Assessment > Assignment 1 > Blackboard submission link)
    • student number and name.
  7. Add your location details (e.g. on campus in the Central Library or at home).
