Locating a video that didn't upload successfully

In the event a Kaltura Capture recording upload fails, the following method can be used to manually locate and upload the recorded video to Learn.UQ.

Windows

Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard.
Enter %appdata% in the search bar to open the AppData folder.
Select AppData in the location bar.

Navigate to the Recordings folder by going to Local > Kaltura> Capture > Recordings (...AppData\Local\Kaltura\Capture\Recordings).

Note: This is the default location of Kaltura recordings. If you setup a different location when installing the software, navigate to that location.

Multiple files will appear within the Recordings folder. Your video file will be one of the MP4 files which can be identified in the Type column.

Note: Changing the view may help if the Type column does not appear.

Once you have located the required video file, copy the MP4 file to your desktop.

Mac

In Finder, select Go > Go to folder...

Enter ~/Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/Recordings in the search bar.
Click on the Go button.

Multiple files will appear within the Recordings folder. Your video file will be one of the MP4 files.

Once you have located the required video file, copy the MP4 file to your desktop.
