Publish a Kaltura Video Quiz (YouTube 1m 36s)

Publish Kaltura Video Quiz on your Learn.UQ (Blackboard) Course Site

Warning: You will need to republish your video quiz each time your course is copied in order for Grade Centre to be set up.

Note: In order for a Video Quiz’s marks to appear in Grade Centre in your Learn.UQ (Blackboard) course site, it must be published via the Assessments tools in Blackboard in Learning Resources or Assessment.

Note: The quiz may only be attempted once and is recommended it be used as formative assessment.

  1. From the Course Menu, select Assessment or Learning Resources.

  1. Click on the Assessments button.
  2. Select Kaltura Video Quiz from the drop-down list.

  1. Select the relevant quiz from your My Media and click on the Embed button.

  1. Enter the title in the Title textbox.
  2. Enter the video quiz's information in the Description textbox.

  1. Optionally, if you have not completed organising the content, select the No Permit Users to View this Content radio button.
  2. Optionally, if you need statistics on which students have viewed the content, select Yes Track Number of Views radio button.
  3. Optionally, set Date and Time Restrictions: i.e. The course content could be organised into weekly learning modules that are displayed progressive over the semester at the relevant time.
    • If required, select the Display After checkbox and enter the date using the Date Selection Calendar and enter the time using the Time Selection Menu.
    • If required, select the Display Before checkbox and enter the date using the Date Selection Calendar and enter the time using the Time Selection Menu.

Permit Users to View this Content radio button is set to no. Track Number of Views radio button set to yes. Display After and Display Before date and time fields left blank

  1. Enter a number in the Points Possible textbox.

Note: This number display in Grade Centre cannot be changed once it is set.

  1. In Display of Grades, change Display grade as under Schema to Score.

  1. Click on Submit.

Check Video Quiz Results on Grade Centre

When a quiz has been completed, the results show up in Grade Centre.

  1. From the Control Panel, select Grade Centre Full Grade Centre.

  1. Search the columns for the title of the video quiz you created and the students' scores.
