What is the Group tool?

The Groups tool in Learn.UQ allows you to organise students into groups. These groups can then be used in Blackboard assignments to facilitate group assessment submission or assigned to discussion boards for group communication.

Why would I use the Groups tool?

To assign students to groups to facilitate group tasks and assessment. Blackboard group assignments only have to be submitted by one member of the group and all members automatically receive the same mark in Gradebook (this can be overridden).

Important note: Bulk-download functionality is not available for group assignment submissions at this stage. This functionality is available for individual assignments only.  For comprehensive instructions on the creation and management of individual assignments, please refer to the Assignments guide.
