What is the Group Peer Assessment tool?
The Group Peer Assessment tool is a UQ-developed eLearning tool that allows teaching staff to collect student responses on the contribution of individual members to a group project. Refer to the Group Peer Assessment tool page.
How was this project initiated?
This project was initiated by ITS as a component of the Blackboard Building Block replacement project.
Why is the Group Peer Assessment tool being replaced?
The Group Peer Assessment tool is a UQ-developed tool based on Blackboard Building Block technology. The vendor will be decommissioning this technology at the end of 2023, so the tool will no longer work at that point. As a result, the current tool will be unavailable for use from the beginning of 2024.
The replacement of the Group Peer Assessment tool is a component of an ITS project to replace all Blackboard Building Blocks at use at UQ. Almost all of these Building Building Blocks support integration.
What is happening?
A consultation process is being conducted to determine the required functionality for a tool to replace the Group Peer assessment tool.
Can I continue to use the Group Peer Assessment tool?
Yes, the current Group Peer Assessment tool will be available until the end of 2023, and a replacement available by the start of 2024. For more information on how to download results of the past GPAT assessments please refer to the Group Peer Assessment Tool decommissioning guide.
