Warning: As of 20 April 2020, ITS has adjusted the academic Zoom licence to enhance functionality. Now when you log into Zoom, it should show LICENCED. Any recordings made from that point will include automatic audio transcripts and a copy of the chat transcript (excluding the chat in Breakout Rooms). The email notification received about each recording is now in a slightly different format. For more information, refer to the Add a Zoom Recording to Learn.UQ (Zoom Cloud Recordings) guide.

Shortly after the Zoom meeting has ended, the host will receive an email from AARNet Cloud Recordings (cloudstor-noreply@aarnet.edu.au) with the recording link and password. Depending on the length of your Zoom session, it may take some time for your Zoom recording to be processed.

Once the meeting host has received the email, they can add the recording to their Learn.UQ course by:

  1. Creating a web link to the recording (for access up to 6 months)
  2. Download the recording and
    a) Upload the recording to Kaltura (for access longer than 6 months) OR
    b) Upload the recording to Echo360 (for access longer than 6 months)

Warning: The recording link will only be available for 6 months after the recording date and access after this period is available directly through CloudStor. For instructions on accessing CloudStor, refer to the CloudStor guide (by ITS) or the FAQ Where Are My Zoom Cloud Recordings Stored? (by CloudStor)

Note: If you are a professional staff member, your recording emails will come from Zoom (no-reply@zoom.us) and will look slightly different.
