Learning Educational Design and Support
eLearning Educational Designers are based in schools and faculties. While their focus areas of support vary, they can generally assist you with:
- Developing online resources to support your face-to-face teaching,
- Transforming course content into active learning experiences,
- Bringing together instructional strategies, tools and technology for best performance,
- Advice on efficient and sustainable approaches to online learning,
- Best practice design balancing aesthetic quality, usability and technical requirements.

Library Services: Support for Students
Library Services provides an Information Technology Helpdesk for students. They also offer face-to-face help, provide online Learn.UQ student guides and run workshops for students.
Setting up for a Successful Semester - ITaLI workshop
Setting up a few key items in your course site can help enhance the success of your course. This workshop will cover tips and tricks for how to best use your Electronic Course Profile (ECP) and Learn.UQ site to minimise hassle as well as examples of implementing a communication strategy and managing student expectations. Register for the 24 February workshop on the Staff Development site.
Open course scheme
Starting again soon. The Open course scheme showcases some of the excellent teaching that takes place every day in the classrooms around UQ. Visit an open classroom to observe a colleague teach; it’s a wonderful opportunity to pick up new ideas, see different strategies, rediscover old favourites, reflect on your own teaching, and be inspired. Lecture recordings maintenance
Just after Summer Semester exams end, the Echo360 lecture recording system will undergo maintenance. Echo recordings will be unavailable on Sunday 14 February from 6am to midday, returning earlier if possible. If you have any queries regarding this work please use the contact details below:

Learn.UQ upgrade - 11/12 July
In 2016 the Blackboard upgrade will occur on Monday 11 July and Tuesday 12 July, during the main university vacation week and before Semester 2 orientation begins.
