Use Adobe Stock images

UQ staff have unlimited access to Adobe Stock’s over 250 million image collections through the UQ Pro Creative Cloud license. More info

Use cases:

Create a unique course banner,
Design projects including social media postings, internal newsletters, marketing campaigns etc.,
Presentations (Adobe Stock has a plugin available for PowerPoint that allows you to add Stock assets right into the slide you’re working on),
Inspiration.

Three steps in using Adobe Stock images:

Sign-in Adobe Stock
Search for images and download
Resized if required

Sign-in Adobe Stock

Search for images and download

Enter the search term in the search bar.

Click on the License button on the picture you would like to use.

Note: If you miss this step and click on the download icon instead, the image you download might still have the Adobe watermark. You will need to go back and click on License to download the licensed version.

Note: Even if you click on License, sometimes you are still prompted to re-download. Click on the Re-Download for Free button.

The download will start automatically in a few seconds. Save the picture on your device.

Resize images

In some use cases, you will need to resize the image before uploading. For example:

Create banners in Learn.UQ courses: 1200 X 240 pixels
Inline images in Inspera:

Resize images

Open the saved image from your device.
Click on the three-dot icon.

Select resize image

Select Define custom dimensions (so you can enter specific dimensions for your use cases).

Enter the recommended dimensions. For example, the banner in Learn.UQ course requires the dimensions of 1200 X 240 pixels

Option 1: you only need to enter the Width and the Height will be adjusted automatically (because the option Maintain aspect ratio is checked by default).

Option 2: Uncheck the Maintain aspect ratio and enter both dimensions as recommended.

Click on the Save resized copy button.
