Add exam information as an item

For centrally administrated Learn.UQ exams, a copy of the exam information should be added to both the Learn.UQ course site and the separate exam course sites, so students are able to access this information prior to the examination. For school-based exams, a copy of the exam information should be added to the Learn.UQ course site.

Before adding your exam information as an item, you will need to download either the required exam information template from the Learn.UQ exam options ITaLI guide and edit the required fields in Microsoft Word.

Note: Do NOT upload the Word Document as a separate PDF file.

Separate exam course site

Access the required separate exam course site (i.e. Final Examination OR Def/Sup Examination).
Access the required section of the course menu depending on your exam technology type (i.e. Blackboard Test, File upload to Turnitin, File Upload to Blackboard Assignment, Combination with Turnitin or Combination with Blackboard Assignment).
Click on the down arrow for the "Exam information" item and select Edit from the dropdown list.

Delete "Paste the Exam information table here and delete this text." from the Text textbox.
Open the completed exam information Word Document template.
Click on the four headed arrow to select the entire table and press the Ctrl + C keys on your keyboard to copy it.

Press the Ctrl + V keys on your keyboard to paste the exam information table into the Text textbox.

Select the Yes radio button for Permit Users to View this Content.
Click on the Submit button.

The exam information item will then appear below the submission links.

Learn.UQ course site

Access the required section of the course menu in your separate exam course site (i.e. Final Exam or Def/Sup Exam).
Hover on the Build Content button and select Item from the dropdown list.

Enter "Exam Information" in the Name textbox.

Open the completed exam information Word Document template.
Click on the four headed arrow to select the entire table and press the Ctrl + C keys on your keyboard to copy it.

Press the Ctrl + V keys on your keyboard to paste the exam information table into the Text textbox.

Select the Yes radio button for Permit Users to View this Content.
Click on the Submit button.
