5. Setup groups in Learn.UQ (optional)

Note: This step only needs to be done if you are doing a group video assignment.

If you are conducting a group video assignment you will need to setup your groups in your Learn.UQ course site prior to setting up your Assignment submission point. There are three options for setting up groups: Self-Enrol groups, Manual Enrol groups or Random Enrol groups.

Group Set - Self-Enrol

Tasks to complete

Add your Student Preview user to a group.

Note: For training purposes, a group has been setup in your course site for you and you will need to add your Student Preview user to the group. For more information, refer to the Using the Student Preview Tool guide.

  1. Click on the Student Preview icon.
  2. Click on the Exit Preview button.
  3. Select the Keep the preview user and all data radio button.
  4. Click on the Continue button.

Note: Completing the above steps will provide you with a test student account that you can add to a group.

  1. Click on Users and Groups > Groups.
  2. Hover over the Video Assignment Group.
  3. Click on the Arrow to the right of the title. 
  4. Select Edit Group from the drop-down list.
  5. Click on the Add Users button.
  6. Check the Checkbox next to your preview user.
  7. Click on the Submit button to add your preview user.
  8. Click on the Submit button to save the group.
