3. Overview


Desktop Recording offers teaching staff an efficient way to record PowerPoint slides, screen recordings or a webcam. The reason for doing so is to move content online to free up face-to-face time for active learning activities, turn it into an instructional video or create a lecture to be uploaded if the original lecture time falls on a public holiday. Another benefit is that recordings can be uploaded to your course site.

The steps to create a desktop recording are:  

  1. Decide on what you want to record (PowerPoint slides, screen recording or webcam)
  2. Record it
  3. Edit (if required)
  4. Upload to Learn.UQ (Blackboard) course site
