Test your Microsoft Bookings service
After you have configured the required service on your booking page, you can test the service link to experience the booking process from a student’s perspective.
- Access your course's Microsoft Bookings page from the UQ Bookings app.
- Click on the Services option from the settings list.
- Select the service you want to test.
- Click on the service link. The booking for the service will open in a new window.

Check that the following details are displayed correctly:
- Service name
- Duration
- Service description

Select your own name when making a test booking. This allows you to:
- confirm that your availability is correctly reflected for the service, and
- receive booking notifications in your mailbox and Outlook calendar as a teaching staff member and as a student.

- Check if your availability is correctly reflected for the service.
- Select one time slot for testing.

- Fill in the Custom fields questions
- Click on the Book button.

- This confirmation screen will be displayed. Check if all the required information is included for students after they have completed a booking.

- Check your mailbox. You should receive two notifications:
- The New booking is for the staff
- The Confirmed is for the student

- Email notification for staff:

- Confirmation email for the student with booking details:

The following information will also be displayed:
- The text you added in the Add additional information in the Email confirmation setting.
- The answers students provided to your Custom questions when they completed their booking.

- Check your Outlook calendar. You should receive the invite from a student's perspective.

- Go back to the service page to make any required adjustments.
